Contacting meeting planners

Would you recommend keeping the email short and to the point or build rapport with the person that you are emailing? I currently do a short introduction and send them to my social media and website.

P.S. I am usually listening in on the calls, it's hard for me to make the actual webinar, so I just hear the audio.
