    Questions about speaking at universities:

    1. What titles do meeting planners at colleges go by?
    2. What are the pros / cons of speaking at colleges?

In preparation for a speaker's kit, what if the current videos I have are average (before the 10X Stages training obviously)- do I still include them? I want to include them for credibility and social proof. I don't want to include them because they are average and I want to give GREAT first impression. What would you do?

I already have www.laurenbateman.com, but that is related to my online guitar teaching website. Should I create a variant of that such as laurenbatemanspeaking.com or can a create a section on this website www.laurenbateman.com/speaking. I think it's probably better for me to have a website completely dedicated to my speaking versus mixing it in on my main website. I don't really have a catchy course title yet that I think would make a good website name.

As to a "Summit" being an online platform - is this what the instant impression is, when that word appears in an event title?

We are holding a large event in April 2020 - it's our premiere event we have already booked a HUGE (and EXPENSIVE..ha) speaker for, as well begun adding in other top presenters. Promo videos are being created, ... and so on.

My question is - Does the event name - The Great American Summit  - in your expert opinion(s) convey the impression it is an online event?

Pat, your last week 5 coaching session was just a masterpiece! The tip about having a good copy written follow up sequence which follows the same sequence as the signature talk follows, was just BRILIANT!!!

After that coaching session, a lot of started making sense to me about the signature talk and how that dovetail with scaling offer. Gaining clarity on my offer with the Scale Module, I started over the first module to better craft my signature talk. This exercise is time consuming, but it is very rewarding. Being clear on what I am offering, my signature talk is having another structure and it seems more direct. This is not a question, but a feedback that I wanted to share with the group.

    1. If I speak at a high school, most of which are under 18, not sure they have the ability to purchase a product, but perhaps they become a lead and future customer? Or do you offer a low cost product. Just curious to know your thoughts and experience working with this audience.

    2. One of the Cons of "Paid to Speak/Keynote" business model was the "Vendor Lookout", can you explain what that is?

    3. If you are speaking on a panel with a few other guest speakers (separate, not related to you) - What is your experience in getting the audience's contact info when there's more than one speaker with you on the stage? Does the Contact Card method still work or is it best to have your contact info on the screen?

I have been asked by a local community advocate to assist him with the homelessness issue in our county. He has been going to the weekly County Council meetings and doing a 3 minute "public comment" talk about the need for something to be done about it, ie change zoning to allow for tiny house buildings. I have written to the council members, and they informed me that they have hired a consultant to evaluate the problem and thank you for your interest. [Too bad they didn't post that contract opportunity, since I am a quantitative researcher with a PhD in Public Policy and Administration.] I still want to hop on this weekly 3 minute "public comment" opportunity. How can I use the skills from this training to deliver a compelling 3 minute talk, and on what specific and different topics weekly? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

So far, we've been talking a lot about huge or national stages. Let's talk about local stages. I have a real estate coaching program that focuses on people just getting started with real estate investing (not realtors) in my state (Delaware, very small!).  This is a stepping stone business to my BHAG/Big Why. The other stages that share a target market see themselves as competitors. Can you please suggest an associated or aligned group that I could niche myself with to get on one of their stages? Thanks in advance.
